Canterbury Tales 2008

Canterbury Tales

By William Shakespeare

A MAPPA MUNDI | THEATR MWLDAN CO-PRODUCTION

UK TOUR  3 October – 15 November 2008

Mappa Mundi’s revival of their sell-out play transforms Chaucer’s tales into a dramatic and comical show, full of earthy humour, wit and charm.

As they make their annual pilgrimage to Canterbury, a group of commoners pass the time by performing some of Chaucer’s most appealing tales, including The Miller’s Tale, The Nun’s Priest’s Tale and The Wife of Bath’s Tale.

Boisterous comedy, romance, striking imagery and a dramatic score combine for an evening of fast-paced entertainment guaranteed to put hairs on your chest!

A light-hearted, joyous and slightly naughty evening is in store as the excellent Mappa Mundi take to the road with this adaptation of medieval literature’s best-known work.

Canterbury Tales played 25 dates in 18 tour venues, drawing a total audience of  6089 across the run.
